Sweep the Board is a time-limited event in the board game style, where the player can earn small rewards and grand prizes. Like other new features this event is rolled out to the player community bit by bit, starting in July 2021. So while some players can already play Sweep the Board, others play a Detectives Needed event instead, but for the same prize(s). Like all events, Sweep the Board can be accessed via the event symbol on the left side of the Orchid Island screen.

How it works[]

The board features a line of blue, numbered spaces with yellow checkpoints inbetween. Each numbered space stands for a scene that a player has to complete by finding a certain amount of Hidden Objects in a certain amount of time, just like in a Time Rush competition. When all objects are found, the player receives a (small) reward that will not be awarded immediately, but stashed at the next checkpoint ahead. Only when the checkpoint is reached, will the player receive the rewards collected on the previous blue spaces. To keep playing after a checkpoint, the player has to pay with Play Tickets that are awarded randomly during Hidden Object Scenes. At the very end of the spaces there are the grand prizes, which may be a decoration, an amount of coins and 5-Star Boxes. In the first Sweep the Board event there were 50 blue spaces, so 50 scenes to complete, to reach the grand prizes.

The further the player advances

  • the harder the scenes become by having more objects in them,
  • the more objects need to be found and
  • the further apart the checkpoints become.

If the player fails to complete a scene they can restart at the last checkpoint they reached, their stash ahead is lost and, like always after a checkpoint, they can pay with Play Tickets again to keep playing. Instead of starting over at the checkpoint, the player also has the option to try and salvage the fail by paying with diamonds to add time to the clock and to receive a hint.
