As June and Jack arrive at the unguarded crime scene, they find the poisoned coffee cup used to kill Ben Field and speculate about the motive of the crime. They discover Ben Field's appointment book and from that they learn that Ben Field was supposed to meet Marie Hamada, a reporter at the Boston Gazette. They plan to talk to her.
